Tomáš Cileček

Tomáš comes from a region that has been home to his family since 1669. Their connection to viticulture runs just as deep. His love for nature was awakened in childhood through scouting, which also instilled in him a strong sense of responsibility for its protection. His interest in history and tradition then naturally led him to bring all these passions together..

He began making wine independently at the age of sixteen, and during nine years of study at two viticultural schools he completed more than ten practical internships at wineries with different internal structures, focus and size. From the beginning, however, he developed a fondness for Riesling, which led him to regions that are its home – to Austrian Wachau and German regions Pfalz and Rheingau. It was there that he came to better understand the nature of this variety.

In 2024, he founded Prameny Winery with the aim of creating Rieslings that will faithfully reflect the places, vintages and thoughts of the people from this region.
